If you’re looking for something a bit more subtle but still want to make sure you look great, then you can’t go wrong with a little black dress. The LBD is a staple for most and it’s easy to see why. If you’re wanting to go for something simple and reliable then this is the best option, plus you can always dress it up for party season with accessories. Opt for sparkly jewellery and a colourful bag and shoes to amp up your favourite LBD.

Silk slip dress

Silk slip dresses are really popular during party season because you pretty much can’t go wrong with them. Much like the LBD, they’re trusty and look good on everyone no matter your shape and size. You can find them in a range of colours, and even some that have some sparkly embellishments on them. Silk slip dresses are popular year round so it’s likely you already have one in your cupboard that you can choose from. If you have a strappy one and want to make it look more fit for winter you could always wear a mesh top underneath it to add a bit of warmth and also change up the style a bit.
