By visiting our website and accessing the information, resources, services, products, and tools we provide, you understand and agree to accept and adhere to the following terms and conditions as stated in this policy (hereafter referred to as ‘User Agreement’), along with the terms and conditions as stated in our Privacy Policy (please refer to the Privacy Policy section below for more information).
This agreement is in effect as of April 1, 2010.
We reserve the right to change this User Agreement from time to time without notice. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this User Agreement periodically to familiarise yourself with any modifications. Your continued use of this site after such modifications will constitute acknowledgement and agreement of the modified terms and conditions.
Responsible Use and Conduct
By visiting our website and accessing the information, resources, services, products, and tools we provide for you, either directly or indirectly (hereafter referred to as ‘Resources’), you agree to use these Resources only for the purposes intended as permitted by (a) the terms of this User Agreement, and (b) applicable laws, regulations and generally accepted online practices or guidelines.
Wherein, you understand that:
a. In order to access our Resources, you may be required to provide certain information about yourself (such as identification, contact details, etc.) as part of the registration process, or as part of your ability to use the Resources. You agree that any information you provide will always be accurate, correct, and up to date.
b. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login information associated with any account you use to access our Resources. Accordingly, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account/s.
c. Accessing (or attempting to access) any of our Resources by any means other than through the means we provide, is strictly prohibited. You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of our Resources through any automated, unethical or unconventional means.
d. Engaging in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our Resources, including the servers and/or networks to which our Resources are located or connected, is strictly prohibited.
e. Attempting to copy, duplicate, reproduce, sell, trade, or resell our Resources is strictly prohibited.
f. You are solely responsible for any consequences, losses, or damages that we may directly or indirectly incur or suffer due to any unauthorised activities conducted by you, as explained above, and may incur criminal or civil liability.
g. We may provide various open communication tools on our website, such as blog comments, blog posts, public chat, forums, message boards, newsgroups, product ratings and reviews, various social media services, etc. You understand that generally we do not pre-screen or monitor the content posted by users of these various communication tools, which means that if you choose to use these tools to submit any type of content to our website, then it is your personal responsibility to use these tools in a responsible and ethical manner. By posting information or otherwise using any open communication tools as mentioned, you agree that you will not upload, post, share, or otherwise distribute any content that:
i. Is illegal, threatening, defamatory, abusive, harassing, degrading, intimidating, fraudulent, deceptive, invasive, racist, or contains any type of suggestive, inappropriate, or explicit language;
ii. Infringes on any trademark, patent, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary right of any party;
iii. Contains any type of unauthorised or unsolicited advertising;
iiii. Impersonates any person or entity, including any alterationsboutique.co.uk employees or representatives.
We have the right at our sole discretion to remove any content that, we feel in our judgment does not comply with this User Agreement, along with any content that we feel is otherwise offensive, harmful, objectionable, inaccurate, or violates any 3rd party copyrights or trademarks. We are not responsible for any delay or failure in removing such content. If you post content that we choose to remove, you hereby consent to such removal, and consent to waive any claim against us.
h. We do not assume any liability for any content posted by you or any other 3rd party users of our website. However, any content posted by you using any open communication tools on our website, provided that it doesn’t violate or infringe on any 3rd party copyrights or trademarks, becomes the property of alterationsboutique.co.uk, and as such, gives us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, publish, publicly display and/or distribute as we see fit. This only refers to and applies to content posted via open communication tools as described and does not refer to information that is provided as part of the registration process, necessary in order to use our Resources. All information provided as part of our registration process is covered by our privacy policy.
i. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alterationsboutique.co.uk and its parent company and affiliates, and their directors, officers, managers, employees, donors, agents, and licensors, from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, resulting from any violation of this User Agreement or the failure to fulfil any obligations relating to your account incurred by you or any other person using your account. We reserve the right to take over the exclusive defence of any claim for which we are entitled to indemnification under this User Agreement. In such event, you shall provide us with such cooperation as is reasonably requested by us.
Refunds & Cancellations
We’re confident that you will be thrilled with your alterations. We understand, however, that sometimes an alteration may not be what you expected it to be. In that unlikely event, we invite you to review the following terms related to refunds, returns, and subsequent alterations to correct original alterations.
Because each garment is subjectively tailored, we do not offer any refunds, exchanges or returns for any alterations that have been performed by Alterations Boutique regardless of the client’s level of satisfaction. Refunds and cancellations are only permitted for an order (with the exception of express or same-day orders) within 24 hours of placing an order and/or providing payment details to Alterations Boutique provided the work has not been started or if an order for materials associated with that order has not been placed. (“initial meeting”). If a refund or cancellation is requested after 24 hours of the initial meeting with Alterations Boutique, it is at the sole discretion of Alterations Boutique to refund or cancel the order with a 15% cancellation fee subject to contract. In the event that any alterations or modifications were made by Alteration Boutique to the garment(s) following the initial meeting, the client waives all current and future claims towards the Company for such changes or potential damage, if any. The client agrees that under no circumstance will the Company be required to reimburse client for any garment(s) or replace such garment(s) that the client deems to be damaged by Alteration Boutique, even if said client deems the garment(s) to be damaged beyond repair. By voluntarily providing payment details to the Company, the client agrees to all terms and conditions set forth, herein, which include but is not limited to, that the client explicitly understands that once an order is placed, that work on the garment(s) generally commences shortly thereafter, expenses are incurred by the Company as part of its operations and quality of work is subjective.
When Alterations Boutique and a customer commence a business relationship (at the time of the initial sale when payment information is provided to Alterations Boutique) whereby Alterations Boutique performs an alteration and/or a tailoring service in exchange for payment, the customer clearly understands that there is a risk associated with tailoring a garment, since tailoring a garment involves subjective work and there is no objective way to measure the quality and satisfaction related to an alteration, from start to finish. The customer understands that Alterations Boutique may alter and/or tailor a garment such that the customer could be unhappy with the final result for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: the resulting garment (following an alteration) is deemed unalterable, damaged or unfixable. In any of these aforementioned events, Alterations Boutique will not provide a refund or exchange under any circumstance. In the event that a garment is deemed unalterable, defective or damaged by a customer following Alterations Boutique’s work on a garment, Alterations Boutique will not provide a refund or exchange and will not replace the garment or compensate the customer for the replacement cost or re-sale value of the garment. However, in the event of an unfavourable situation, the Company will make best faith efforts (at its sole discretion) to try to remedy it. If you are unhappy for any reason, we are 100% committed to working with you to achieve a solution.
After six months from the date of the transaction, we will no longer discuss or provide any potential remedies for issues related to a transaction. Additionally, any remedy or resolution that was offered will expire.
Our expected timeline for completing alterations from start to finish is 1 to 2 weeks depending on our current volume. While we do our best to meet this expected timeframe, timing is subject to change (without notice) based on a range of factors that are sometimes outside of our control. Even if there is a material delay in the timeframe with respect to a client alteration, refunds and/or cancellations are not permitted under any circumstance. Alterations Boutique (at its sole discretion) will make best faith efforts to remedy any unfavourable situations and make things right.
Alterations Guarantee
We will guarantee our work at Alterations Boutique, at any location, up until 14 days of the pickup date (of your garments) indicated on your receipt. This means we will be only responsible for fixing any rips, holes, tears, and mistakes solely caused by work that was done on your garment by a member of our staff. The company will not be responsible for wear and tear of the actual garment that does not relate to the specific alteration performed by Alterations Boutique.
After 14 days, the client will be responsible for his or her respective garment(s) and will be held fully responsible for any purported issues. Alterations Boutique reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to make best faith efforts to remedy the situation after the 14-day period, provided that the client notifies us in writing that he/she would like us to take a look at the garment(s) to see if there is a potential solution.
In some cases, your garment(s) will require additional alterations that were not initially discussed during your first fitting. In the event that this happens, we will communicate with you prior to starting the alterations and propose the inclusion of supplementary modifications which will be accompanied by an additional fee for that alteration. This is intended to ensure that we attain the desired aesthetic and fit of the garment(s).
Measurements
By using Alterations Boutique to obtain body or garment measurements, the client explicitly agrees that Alterations Boutique does not assume any liability for said measurements in any capacity including but not limited to the resulting fit or garment quality from using such measurements, as different companies translate and interpret measurements differently. The client further understands that Alterations Boutique does not make any representations regarding the quality or accuracy of its measurements nor does it assume any responsibility or liability for said measurements should the measurements be used to create any garment, alter any garment and/or purchase any garment (custom or not custom) from a third party company.
Payments
Alterations Boutique only takes credit card, debit card and bank payments for retail transactions. If you would like to pay by cash, check or an alternative option, it must be approved in advance of your pick-up date and at the sole discretion of the company.

All content and materials available on alterationsboutique.co.uk, including but not limited to text, graphics, website name, code, images and logos are the intellectual property of alterationsboutique.co.uk and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. Any inappropriate use, including but not limited to the reproduction, distribution, display or transmission of any content on this site is strictly prohibited unless specifically authorised by Alterationsboutique.co.uk
